ten months old milestones

Our little Nicho is ten-months old!

In case you hadn't been caught up on his eating, sleeping and pooping habits... Here is the short version:

Nicholas is into EVERYTHING these days.  He follows his big brothers around from room to room.  He has the fastest army-crawl I have ever seen.  He basically slithers all around the house.  He is also starting to crawl on his hands and knees slightly more often, but I think he feels that his army crawl is faster.  He takes little breaks by laying on his side, in a magazine centerfold type of pose.  So casual.

He is randomly and spontaneously LOUD.  It makes for a fun time at mass, the library, public restrooms... ect.

Nicholas loves every food he has tried.  We still mostly feed him purees because of his lingering gag-reflex, but he does enjoy "puffs" (I may rely a little too much on puffs!)  Sometimes we worry about whether he will stop eating when you are full.  Meal times look a little like a "pouncing" session.  It must be a survival instinct for the youngest child.

No teeth yet, but we love that gummy smile.

His first (and only intentional word so far) is Dada.  Nicholas is truly Daddy's little man.  Again, it's all about survival when you are the youngest.

And lastly, in Ricci baby tradition, he is still a terrible sleeper (as though my expectations aren't low enough already).  He wakes up nightly to party for about one-hour (on a good night), sometimes longer.  Often he needs to poop, often he just wants to play.  As a result, we are exhausted and still in survival mode... but we are happy.  Very, very happy.

Nicholas Raphel, you bring us so much joy!  Love you sweet boy.
